STMicroelectronics and CMP organize a set of three online sessions, about ST’s 28nm FDSOI technology.
The first module is an overview of the major analog, digital and RF features of 28nm FDSOI technology. Second module is a focus on the benefits of FD-SOI technology, by taking full advantage of wide voltage range body biasing tuning. Concrete presentation and strategy offer are given, in order to highlight the main design features specific to FD-SOI and the resulting performances. The last module is a workshop about design kit offer and supported CAD flows, where designers are invited to ask technical questions, based on the PDK documentations.

Agenda:

Monday, June 7th: (3:00pm – 6:00pm local time France )

28nm FDSOI technology overview General introduction to 28nm UTBB-FDSOI.

Tuesday, June 8th: (3:00pm – 5:30pm local time France)

Analog/RF circuits : benefits of FD-SOI technology Benefits of FD-SOI technology for analog/RF/millimeter-wave and high-speed mixed signal circuits.

Wednesday, June 9th: (3:00pm – 6:00pm local time France)

Workshop : DK & CAD dedicated questions / demos
  • Process features & DK offer
  • Front end simulation, technology variations modeling & corners use
  • Physical verification : DRC, LVS
  • Parasitic extraction (PEX), post layout simulation (PLS)

NB : This third module is intended to answer questions about design-kit utilization and supported CAD flows. Trainees should have studied PDK slides available in the folder $PDKITROOT/doc/TRAININGS/, and sent in advance their questions (at least 2 weeks before the training course).

SPEAKERS:
Andreia CATHELIN, Benjamin DORMIEU, Patrick SCHEER, Sylvain TRIVIAUX (ST’s experts)

Booking conditions:

This training course is suited for PhD students, academic staff, research or industry attendees, if a signature of appropriate technology non-disclosure agreements (NDA) and tool license agreements are in place. It is strongly recommended that trainees already have ST’s CMOS28FDSOI installed in secured and isolated network of their institution.

Booking request is open until Wednesday, May 12th 2021.

The registration is mandatory to access this training course, and has to be validated by a technical responsible of your institution (generally the person declared as the point of contact for all myCMP web services).
Training course fees: 120€ per person (fee is in Euro, and includes a 20% French VAT).
Please fill-in and send back the document “CMP training booking request payment” to finalize any registration.
